Israeli Defense Minister Boasts of Burning Gaza amid Unprecedented Israeli Attacks

Gaza City (QNN)- Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz boasted on Tuesday that “Gaza is burning” as Israeli forces intensified air and ground strikes on the city. His comments came while families of Israeli soldier prisoners accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of sacrificing their loved ones.

Katz wrote on X that the Israeli army army “strikes the terror infrastructure with an iron fist.” He claimed the military was “creating conditions to release” Israeli soldier prisoners and “defeat Hamas.”

At dawn on Tuesday, the Israeli military escalated bombardments on Gaza City. Warplanes and artillery targeted residential buildings in the north. The army also ordered residents of Gaza Port and al-Rimal neighborhood to evacuate toward the south.

Palestinian health officials reported that 60 people were killed in Israeli raids across the Gaza Strip since Monday morning.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for Gaza’s Civil Defense, said: “Gaza City is under heavy bombardment. The number of martyrs and injuries is rising.”

Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that the sound of massive explosions in Gaza was heard in Tel Aviv. The intensity of the strikes shattered windows in the settlement of Netivot in the south of the occupied land.

Meanwhile, the families of Israeli prisoners accused Netanyahu of “choosing to sacrifice” the prisoners by continuing the war. The families warned that the ongoing attacks threaten the lives of many prisoners inside Gaza.

It also said Netanyahu, Katz, and other officials ignored repeated requests for a meeting. The families held Netanyahu “personally responsible” for the fate of their relatives.
