Israeli court renews detention of Jerusalem Governor despite of release decision
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- An Israeli court on Monday extended the detention of Jerusalem Governor, Adnan Gheith, despite a previous decision to release him.
The court had reversed its decision following an objection by the Israeli Shin Bet, which demanded to renew Gheith’s detention.
‘Israel’ had arrested Geith from his house on Sunday over his efforts to fight the novel coronavirus.
This is the 17th time for Gheith to be arrested while he is office.
The Israelis also detained the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Fadi Hidmi, over “suspicious PLO activity to fight coronavirus in Jerusalem”.
