Israeli court green lights demolition of Palestinian home in city of Jenin
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Israeli court approved last night a demolition order against the house of Palestinian detainee Omar Jaradat in Silat al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Relatives of detainee Jaradat said that they were notified of the demolition order after the court rejected a petition submitted by human rights groups against the act of demolition.
Along with his mother Etaf and his bothers Ghaith and Muntaser, Omar has been jailed in Israeli prisons since December 2021.
Omar and his brother Ghaith have been accused of carrying out an alleged attack that left one Israeli settler dead near the Jenin-Nablus Road.
Israeli news website 0404 said that Omar did not participate in the attack, however, the Israeli court claimed that he was fully engaged in the whole incident.
On December 20, 2021, The Israeli occupation forces notified at least five Palestinian families of its intention to demolish their houses, after five relatives were accused of carrying out the alleged attack.
Recently, the Israeli occupation authorities have demolished the houses of Palestinian detainees Mohammed and Mahmoud Jaradat, as well as demolished the walls of the houses of Ghait and Omar Jaradat.
