Israeli companies that produce wine, tahini, olive oil and honey have signed a deal with the Dubai distribution company FAM Holding, to export their products to the United Arab Emirates.
Yossi Dagan, who heads a council for illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, said these are the first export business deals to be organized between Israel and UAE.
“This morning we are making history,” Dagan said at a small ceremony held in the FAM Holdings office. The table was adorned with small flags from the UAE, Israel and the company.
He added, “We are opening a new economic page between the best companies in Samaria and FAM. I am very excited and happy with their standing.”
FAM Holding CEO Dr. Faisal Ali Mousa, who also attended the ceremony, said that “We are very happy to have you all here.”
“This is a very big goal we have reached today,” Moussa said.
