Israeli bulldozers demolish under-construction building in Nablus

Nablus (QNN)- Israeli occupation bulldozers broke into Yatma town in Nablus in the occupied West Bank earlier on Tuesday and embarked on demolishing an under-construction building.

Under the pretext of lacking an Israeli-issued construction permit, the Israeli occupation forces today demolished an under-construction house in the Yatma town after raiding the town.

The house, which belongs to the Palestinian resident Ahmad Al-Najjar, was also demolished 15 years ago by the Israeli occupation authorities, and his owner rebuilt it once again.

The house is located east-north Yatma town, near Jabal Sabih, which lies on the southern outskirts of the Beita village which has witnessed several protests and night-confusion activities against the new settler outpost of Evyatar on Jabal Sabih.

In many Palestinian communities located in Area C of the West Bank under full Israeli military control, Israeli-designated “firing zones” or “closed military zones” are forbidden for Palestinians to live on without permission from the Israeli occupation authorities, which is rarely granted.

Home demolitions, confiscation of the most basic infrastructure and military training exercises are part of everyday reality in the area, forcing many to live in natural caves, in a bid to make way for the building of illegal settlements.

There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
