Israeli authorities release student activist Shatha Taweel

Ramallah (QNN)- Israeli authorities on Sunday released Shatha Taweel (21 years old), a student activist at Birzeit University, who was detained over her activism.

Taweel was arrested from her house in Bireh in November 2020. She was interrogated in Ofer detention center before being sent to Ha Sharon prison then to the Damon prison.

She was arrested within an arrest campaign that targeted dozens of student activists in the university.
