Israeli authorities rearrest Jordanian citizen on day of his release
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli authorities on Sunday rearrested the Jordanian citizen Abdullah Abu Jaber on the day of his release, taking him back to the Naqab desert jail under the pretext that his release documentation is not ready yet.
The Palestinian Prisoners Association said Israeli authorities held a court session for Abu Jaber in order to legitimize the continuation of his detention.
The Israeli court decided that whenever Abu Jaber’s release documentation are ready he will be released and sent to Jordan, however, that could take several days.
Abu Jaber (44 years old) was arrested in 2000 over rejecting occupation. His family was allowed to visit him only twice during the 21 years of detention.
Israeli authorities also detains 22 Jordanian citizens, Abu Jaber is the longest-serving among them.
