Israeli authorities conditionally release journalism professor Widad Barghouthi

Ramallah (QNN)- Israeli authorities released last night journalism professor Widad Barghouthi from Ramallah last night.
Local sources said that Israeli authorities released Barghouthi in exchange for 40,000 Shekels bail, staying under house arrest in area C, and stopping publishing on social media.
Barghouthi was arrested earlier this month along with her two sons Karmal and Qassam.
A group of over 200 California academics sent a letter to Israeli Justice and Higher Education ministers, condemning Israeli invasion of the house of professor Widad Barghouthi and her detention.
Israeli forces have been recently increasing targeted arrests against women, especially academics, intellectuals, and university students.
