Israeli attacks on West Bank protests leave injuries, damaged trees

Occupied West Bank (QNN)- Israeli forces and settlers attacked several West Bank protests today, leaving injuries.

In Kafr Qaddoum, Israeli forces wounded one protester with live ammunition and four others, including two journalists, with rubber-coated metal bullets. They also used tear gas, causing dozens of protesters to suffocate.

The coordinator of the popular resistance in Kafr Qaddoum, Murad Ishtewi, said the Israeli army raided the village while intensively opening fire. The intensive use of live and rubber-coated metal rounds caused an injury in the foot for Nasfat Ishtewi. Israeli forces arrested the young man even after he got wounded.

Another young man got fractures while Israeli forces shot a paramedic when he tried to provide medical care.

Meanwhile, in Masafer Yatta, Israeli forces cracked down on an anti-settlement protest.

Israeli forces used stun grenades at dozens of citizens from the village and surrounding villages.

The protesters performed Friday prayer in a land that Israeli settlers stole.

Also, in Ar Ras in western Salfit, Israeli settlers burnt dozens of seedlings.

Local sources said residents and the civil defense could put out the fires.

Israeli settlers had set fabricated houses and constructed roads in preparation for a new illegal settlement outpost.

Salfit already suffers from 23 illegal settlements and 6 outposts.
