Israeli army’s attacks on UN shelters in Gaza have killed 308 Palestinians, UNRWA reports

Gaza (Quds News Network) – The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has revealed that a total of 308 Palestinians seeking refuge in UN facilities in Gaza have been killed by Israeli strikes since October 7.

The agency reported that on December 25, two civilians at the UNRWA Prep School in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp were killed, and one was injured due to a direct strike.

The UNRWA emphasized that, tragically, “nowhere in Gaza is safe” as it disclosed the grim statistics of 308 fatalities and 1,095 injuries among those seeking shelter in its facilities since the beginning of the Israeli genocide campaign in the territory.

Throughout its prolonged offensive on Gaza, Israel has targeted hospitals, residences, and places of worship—violations of the rules of war that mandate their protection.

Israel’s relentless onslaught on the Gaza Strip has resulted in a staggering toll, with at least 21,600 Palestinians killed and 56,000 injured, according to local health authorities.

The repercussions of Israel’s onslaught are starkly visible, as Gaza now stands in ruins, with 60% of its infrastructure damaged or destroyed.

Nearly 2 million residents find themselves displaced, grappling with acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicines in the midst of this humanitarian crisis.
