Israeli Army Scandal: How an Israeli Rocket Reported Fired in Gaza Ended Up in Tulkarem Refugee Camp

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- A rocket belonging to the Israeli army has been found in the occupied West Bank—not Gaza, where the army claimed it was fired.

According to Israeli Army Radio, the “LAV” rocket was discovered in Tulkarem refugee camp by Palestinian Authority security forces. They handed it over to the Israeli military.

The rocket, originally reported as launched during a Gaza operation, turned out to belong to an Israeli reserve battalion. This battalion had falsely claimed the rocket was used in Gaza.

Israeli military police have launched a criminal investigation. They suspect the unit filed a false report to hide the rocket’s theft.

Army Radio called the incident a serious scandal. Officials say the rocket could have been used against Israeli forces.

They warned that large amounts of weapons and explosives may have been stolen during the war and could now be in the hands of armed groups in the West Bank.

“This could shift the balance of power in the region,” Israeli Army Radio said.

An Israeli army spokesperson stated: “The military views any theft of weapons or ammunition with extreme seriousness. The investigation has concluded, and findings will soon be sent to the military prosecutor.”
