Israeli Analyst Admits Mass Killing of Civilians Is a Strategy to Pressure Hamas

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- An Israeli military analyst has openly admitted that Israel is using mass killing of Palestinian civilians as a tactic to pressure Hamas in negotiations. Yossi Yehoshua, writing in Ynet, stated that Israeli leaders believe inflicting large-scale civilian casualties will force Hamas to accept Israel’s terms.
Israeli forces resumed heavy airstrikes across Gaza, targeting mainly civilians. Dozens of Israeli warplanes bombed homes, tents, government buildings, media offices, and residential areas. Artillery strikes also hit northern Gaza, aiming to force displaced Palestinians to leave towards the south.
The report also revealed that Israel deliberately stopped humanitarian aid to Gaza, closing border crossings and blocking food, water, and essential supplies.
According to the analyst, Israel expects Hamas to surrender to avoid further killings and destruction or face a renewed ground invasion, despite a severe shortage of Israeli troops. Military leaders argue that increasing the killings among civilians and prolonging the blockade could break Hamas’s resistance.
According to Yehoshua, Israel believes it has full backing from the Trump administration, which has reportedly supported striking civilian infrastructure and halting humanitarian aid deliveries.
Supported by the U.S., Israel has killed over 400 people and injured hundreds within two days only. 75% of the victims are children and women. The U.S. defended the genocide, claiming that it aims at pressuring Hamas to release Israeli soldier prisoners. Hamas had refused to release the prisoners without Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza and ending the genocide.
