Israeli Airstrikes Rain Down on Gaza Following Ceasefire Announcement, Killing Around 101 Palestinians

Gaza (Quds News Network)- At least 101 Palestinians, including 27 children and 31 women, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since the announcement of a ceasefire agreement set to take effect on Sunday, according to Gaza’s Civil Defense.
The rescue group reported that the death toll from the time of the ceasefire announcement until 9:00 AM on Friday reached at least 101, with casualties in Rafah (2), Khan Younis (14), central Gaza (5), and Gaza City (82).
The toll also includes 27 children and 31 women, while over 264 others have been injured in the attacks across the enclave.
On Wednesday, Israel and Hamas agreed to a three-phase ceasefire deal after 15 months of genocide. The Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani announced in Doha that the agreement would take effect on 19 January.
According to Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, “the Israeli occupation forces are still practising the bombing policy until now,” adding it was a “very difficult and harsh day for the Gaza Strip, and specifically Gaza City.”
