Israeli Airstrikes Hit Syrian Cities, One Civilian Killed

Damascus (Quds News Network)- Israeli warplanes bombed several areas across Syria on Saturday evening, killing one civilian and wounding others. Local sources reported multiple airstrikes targeting different regions, including the capital Damascus and the provinces of Homs, Hama, and Latakia.

At least seven Israeli strikes hit areas around Damascus. Loud explosions echoed across the capital. One airstrike struck near the 41st Brigade close to Harasta Military Hospital, northeast of Damascus. Another targeted the outskirts of Harasta, where one civilian was killed and several others were injured, according to Syrian state news agency SANA.

SANA confirmed that Israeli aircraft bombed the outskirts of Shatha village in Hama countryside. Israeli jets also flew over Daraa, Suwayda, and Quneitra.

Meanwhile, local media reported that an Israeli helicopter landed in Sweida and left after a few minutes, marking a blatant intervention in Syrian internal affairs.

These new attacks come just a day after Israel bombed an area near Syria’s presidential palace in Damascus early Friday. That strike was the second of its kind this week.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly celebrated the attack near the palace. He described it as a message to the Syrian government, sparking fresh outrage in the region. Rights groups and analysts say the increasing Israeli aggression threatens to drag the region into wider conflict.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria over the past years. Most target what it claims are armed groups. However, many of these attacks kill civilians and damage vital infrastructure.

Saturday’s airstrikes mark another escalation in Israel’s ongoing military assault inside Syrian territory.
