Meanwhile, Israeli tanks advanced into the town of Al-Bakkar in western Daraa, close to the Yarmouk Basin. This came after an earlier incursion into the northern Quneitra countryside. Additional airstrikes hit areas near Kiswah and Jabal Al-Mani, south of Damascus, with loud explosions heard throughout the Syrian capital as Israeli jets flew overhead. Reports also indicated a strike on southern Damascus. Residents in Daraa and Quneitra reported hearing Israeli jets circling overhead for hours. The military strikes followed the release of a final statement from the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, which called for Israel’s withdrawal from Syrian territory. The statement reaffirmed Syria’s territorial integrity and rejected any attempts to divide the country. The conference, held at the Presidential Palace in Damascus and attended by President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, condemned Israeli military incursions and denounced provocative statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister. Participants urged the international community to take action to halt Israel's aggression and violations of Syrian sovereignty. Last Sunday, Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israeli forces will continue to occupy strategic locations in Syria. “We demand the complete disarmament of southern Syria under the new regime,", he said. He also used the Syrian Druze community in the south as a pretext.Breaking |Israeli occupation warplanes launch airstrikes in the vicinity of Al-Kiswah, south of the Syrian capital, Damascus. pic.twitter.com/z3IxmSRhzN
