Israeli aggression on Gaza continues unabated on day 109, amid communication blackout

Gaza (Quds News Network) – The Israeli occupation forces persist in their relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip, marking the 109th day of a continuous aerial, artillery, and naval offensive targeting civilians and all aspects of life in the region.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes carried out fierce airstrikes on the central and eastern parts of Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza on Tuesday morning. The Israeli artillery also resumed shelling the vicinity of Nasser Hospital in the city, where intense clashes between the resistance and occupation forces are ongoing.

Simultaneously, the sources reported that injuries resulting from the Israeli shelling of displaced families’ tents in the Mawassi area, west of Khan Yunis, were transported to Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah on Tuesday morning.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the Israeli forces targeted its association headquarters in Khan Yunis with artillery shelling, hitting the fourth floor. Simultaneously, intense gunfire from Israeli drones resulted in several injuries among the displaced individuals.

On Monday, the Red Crescent stated that the situation remained extremely dangerous around its Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis, emphasizing the ongoing challenges faced by ambulance crews in reaching the wounded due to continuous Israeli shelling on the city.

Expressing grave concern, the association highlighted the complete disruption of communication services and the internet, affecting their teams in Khan Yunis. They called on the international community for immediate intervention to protect their staff at the association’s headquarters, Al-Amal Hospital, and the thousands of displaced individuals within its facilities.

Since the commencement of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, over 32,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, while the number of injuries has reached 61,830. Notably, 70% of the victims are reported to be women and children, according to the Ministry of Health. The situation remains critical as the conflict persists, with civilians bearing the brunt of the prolonged violence.
