‘Israel’ wounds 75 peaceful protesters in Gaza
Gaza (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces opened fire at peaceful protesters in Gaza’s weekly Great Return March protests on the 72nd week, injuring 75 protesters.
Dr. Ashraf Qudra, spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that medical teams treated 75 cases, including 18 children, 2 ladies, one paramedic, and one journalist. In 42 cases the wound were caused by live bullets.
Qudra added that two ambulances were also targeted by Israeli soldiers, stationed on the other side of the separation barrier.
Israeli forces continue every Friday to use fire against peaceful protesters despite of urges by the United Nations and NGOs to cease excessive use of force.
The Great Return March protests started on March 2018 to demand the end of the Israeli siege on Gaza and the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes, from which they were expelled in 1948.
