Israel to Release 183 Palestinian Prisoners in Swap Deal

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli occupation authorities are set to release 183 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday as part of the fifth prisoner exchange deal, under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, hours after the release of three Israeli captives from the enclave.
They include 18 who have been serving life sentences, 54 serving long sentences, and 111 who were abducted in the Gaza Strip during the assault.
According to the list released last night, seven prisoners will be exiled from Palestine. Of those included in the fifth batch, 38 are from Hamas, 30 from Fatah, one from the Islamic Jihad Movement, and three have no affiliation with any organization.
Hours before the new exchange process began, Israeli occupation forces raided the homes of several prisoners set to be released today during their incursions into cities and towns across the West Bank. The occupation forces also warned several families not to celebrate the release of their sons.
The initial phase of the agreement, which spans 42 days, aims to exchange 33 Israeli captives for 1,900 Palestinians in three stages. So far, 18 captives have been released, including 5 Tahi nationals. In return, 586 Palestinian prisoners have been freed from Israeli jails.
