‘Israel’ to build 164 settlement units in Bethlehem
Occupied Bethlehem (QNN)- Hasan Breijiyyah, coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in the Bethlehem, said that the West Banks settlements council announced it will start the construction of 164 new settlement units in the illegal settlement of Neve Daniel in southern Bethlehem, reported Wafa.
Breijiyyah added that Israeli media reported that the new expansion comes to create a new neighborhood in the illegal settlement on Palestinian land, confiscated from the villages of Khader and Nahhalin, depriving dozens of Palestinian farmers of their own agricultural lands.
He also stated that the new project comes withing the Israeli policy of expanding settlement to create what the Israelis call “Greater Jerusalem” or “Jerusalem metropolitan area”.
