Israel targets Gaza Baptist Hospital, resulting in casualties

Gaza (Quds News Network)- On Saturday evening, Israeli forces launched an airstrike targeting the vicinity of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinians and injuries to several others.

The Israeli airstrike struck multiple locations around the Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City. Local sources indicated that the attack, carried out by Israeli warplanes, led to the murder of at least two civilians and left others injured.

Rescue and medical teams are currently working to retrieve the bodies of the victims and assist those injured in the attack. The airstrike has once again brought fear and devastation to the heart of Gaza City, an area already heavily impacted by ongoing attacks.

The Ministry of Health condemned the repeated attacks on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital and today’s attack, which resulted in numerous victims and injuries among the patients’ families and those visiting the hospital.

“The Ministry calls on all international and global organizations to protect hospitals and medical teams from the brutality of the occupation and its crimes against healthcare institutions and personnel in the Gaza Strip”, the ministry added.

This latest assault on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital area recalls the tragic events of October 17 last year, when Israeli airstrikes targeted the same hospital, killing over 500 displaced Palestinians who had sought refuge within its walls and injuring hundreds more. This massacre, which became known as the Baptist Hospital Massacre, highlighted the dangers faced by civilians in Gaza, even within the supposed safety of medical facilities.

The overall death toll from the current genocide in Gaza has risen to 40,691, with 94,060 injured, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health.
