Israel Strikes Beirut’s Southern Suburb for Third Time Since Ceasefire

Beirut (Quds News Network)- Israel bombed a tent in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahieh on Sunday, marking its third attack on the area since the November 2024 ceasefire.
Israeli drones fired three missiles at a warehouse in the Hadath neighborhood after issuing an expulsion order to residents.
A large fire broke out, and thick smoke rose from the building following the strike.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack. He urged the United States and France to pressure Israel to stop its repeated assaults. Aoun warned that ongoing Israeli aggression could escalate tensions and threaten regional security.

Israel’s army radio said Israel’s air force had struck what it called a ‘Hezbollah weapons depot’. The occupation state claimed Hezbollah had stored large amounts of important weapons at the site.
Before the attack, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee issued an urgent expulsion order on X (formerly Twitter). He warned people in the Hadath neighborhood to leave marked buildings immediately and move at least 300 meters away for their safety.
Video clips on social media showed the moment Israeli drones bombed the site after the evacuation order.
Earlier on Sunday, an Israeli drone strike killed one person in the southern Lebanese town of Halta. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said the victim was working at a poultry farm near the border when the Israelis attacked.
Despite the ceasefire that started on November 27, 2024, Israel continues to launch attacks across southern and eastern Lebanon. The Israeli military claims it is targeting Hezbollah to prevent it from rebuilding its military strength after heavy losses in the 2024 war.
Since the ceasefire, Israel has committed more than 1,342 violations, killing at least 117 people and wounding 362, according to Lebanese officials.
The 2024 conflict escalated into a full war on September 23, after nearly a year of border clashes. It killed over 4,000 people, injured about 17,000, and displaced nearly 1.4 million across Lebanon.
Israel has yet to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon, still occupying five key hills, in a blatant violation of the agreement. It has also begun building a security buffer zone extending up to two kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
The ceasefire agreement required Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River and dismantle its military infrastructure.
Lebanon continues to demand international action to force Israel to respect the ceasefire and fully withdraw from Lebanese land.
