Israel rounds up several Palestinians amid a continuing detention campaign in West Bank
Ramallah (QNN) – Israeli occupation forces conducted raids and searches in various areas of the occupied West Bank this early morning, leading to the arrest of dozens of individuals and the demolition of a prisoner’s family home in the district of Nablus, according to local sources.
In one of the raids, carried out by the Israeli forces in the town of Aqraba in the Nablus district, the forces detonated the home of Palestinian prisoner Osama Bani Fadl (20 years old).
Israel accuses Fadl of carrying out a resistance operation back in June this year, resulting in the killing of two Israeli settlers.
During the Israeli offensive in the town, Israeli forces unleashed a barrage of tear gas during ensuing clashes, resulting in 14 Palestinians suffering from suffocation.
Meanwhile, confrontations erupted between Palestinian youth and Israeli forces during the Israeli incursions into cities, towns, and camps in the West Bank.
Numerous arrests were made, and those detained were transferred for interrogation by Israeli occupation agencies on charges of involvement in armed resistance activities.
The raids extended to the village of Kafr al-Labad in the Tulkarm district, while confrontations were reported in the adjacent town of Anabta.
In the town of Ya’bad in the Jenin district, confrontations also erupted following the Israeli forces’ storming of the town which included house raids and searches.
In the Hebron governorate, confrontations erupted between youth and Israeli forces in the towns of Bani Na’im and Surif, where Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition at the youth.
Military checkpoints were set up in Bani Na’im and Surif, with the Israeli forces inspecting Palestinian vehicles and searching the identities of their occupants. Additionally, the forces stormed the al-Fawwar camp and the town of Beit Ummar.
Israeli forces also stormed the city of Jericho from multiple axes. Concurrently, special forces stormed the town of Anata northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the Israeli forces invaded the villages of al-Walaja and Za’atara in Bethlehem, confiscating a number of Palestinian vehicles.
