‘Israel’ opens fire at Gaza’s protesters injuring 97

Gaza (QNN)- 97 Palestinian protesters have been reportedly injured by live and rubber-coated metal bullets, while other dozens were suffocated by tear gas, when Israeli occupation forces stationed in military towers on the separation fence of Gaza opened fire at peaceful protesters on Friday.

The ministry of health said that Israeli occupation forces used live and rubber-coated metal bullets in addition to poisonous tear gas against Palestinian protesters in eastern Gaza.

97 protesters were injured; 49 with live bullets. Meanwhile, four paramedics and journalists were reportedly injured, according to the spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health Ashraf Qudrah.

Thousands of protesters participated in the 67th protest of the Great Return March protests, which was under the title “burning Israel’s flag”, demanding an end of the Israeli siege on Gaza and their right to return.

Protesters also stressed on their support to the Palestinians refugees in Lebanon, who face arbitrary laws. They also called on Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to continue peaceful protests and not to resort to violence.

Since March 30, 2018, thousands of Palestinians have been taking to the borders every Friday demanding their right to return to their cities and villages from which they were displaced in 1948 to create ‘Israel’, and to end the siege on the heavy-populated enclave.

Israel has been repressing each protests since the time they started, killing hundreds of children and civilians and injuring thousands despite of international condemnations.
