Israel Launches Pilot Program to Expel 100 Gazans to Indonesia

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israel has begun a pilot program to encourage the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza, which Israel referred to as “voluntary migration”. The program aims at expelling 100 Palestinians from Gaza to Indonesia, Israeli media reported on Tuesday.

According to The Times of Israel, the program will initially expel 100 Gazans to Indonesia, where most will work in construction. Israeli Major General Ghassan Alian, head of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), will oversee the initiative.

If successful, Israel hopes thousands more Gazans will move ‘voluntarily’, with Jakarta’s approval. Since Israel and Indonesia have no diplomatic ties, a special communication channel was set up to coordinate the program. If expanded, a government authority would take over its administration, the report said.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz is expected to appoint retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter to lead the project. Winter, a former senior military officer, is highly regarded in Israel’s religious nationalist circles.

The pilot program follows growing reports of Israeli efforts to force Palestinians to leave Gaza. In January, Israeli media revealed that the government had explored relocation options with several countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Sudan, and Somaliland.

The initiative also comes after former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested buying Gaza and turning it into the “Middle East’s Riviera” then expel its residents to Egypt, Jordan, or other countries. While Israeli ministers welcomed the idea, the Palestinian Authority and Arab states firmly rejected it.

Human rights groups have warned that such efforts could amount to forced displacement, a violation of international law.

Israel’s plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza comes as it continues its siege and bombardment of the enclave, using airstrikes, starvation, and deprivation in its ongoing genocide.

Israel believes these war crimes will make Gaza unlivable, forcing Palestinians into “voluntary migration.”
