Israel Kills Two Police Officers in Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces targeted a police unit in Deir al-Balah, killing two officers and wounding five others. The attack occurred while officers were working to maintain order and prevent chaos in the war-torn region.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed the deaths of Captain Murid Mohammed Farajallah and Lieutenant Younis Mohammed Al-Masharfa. The ministry condemned the deliberate attack on law enforcement. It stated that Israel’s actions align with efforts to destabilize Gaza.

The ministry vowed to continue its mission despite the losses. It also urged the international community to pressure Israel to stop targeting police forces, which are considered civilian protection services under international law.

The attack on the police unit was part of a broader wave of Israeli airstrikes that killed at least 70 people since this morning. Entire families died in their homes and tents, and most of the victims were children.

A strike on an UNRWA clinic in Jabalia killed 22 people, including 16 children and elderly residents. Airstrikes in Khan Younis and Rafah killed 32 more. Additional attacks in central Gaza and Gaza City left several others dead, including a civilian shot by Israeli troops in Al-Shuja’iya.

Targeting police forces worsens the humanitarian crisis, leaving civilians even more vulnerable. Calls for an end to the attacks continue, but Israel’s violence shows no signs of stopping.
