Israel kills seven fishermen in Gaza sea

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Seven Palestinian fishermen were killed today in an Israeli drone strike off the coast of Gaza, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses. The attack comes as Israel continues its offensive in Gaza, which has led to the forced displacement of approximately 250,000 Palestinians in Deir al-Balah, a central city in the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported, “The bodies of seven victims were retrieved from the shore of Gaza City after an Israeli missile targeted them while they were fishing.” Eyewitnesses confirmed, “An Israeli drone fired a missile at a gathering of fishermen on the beach in Gaza City, resulting in deaths and injuries.” The fishermen were attempting to get some fish for their families, as Israel continues its blockade on the strip.
The Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza has reached 40,435, with 93,534 people injured since October 7, 2023. In its latest statistical report on the 325th day of the conflict, the ministry stated, “The death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 40,435, and injuries have reached 93,534 since October 7 last year.” It added that “the occupation forces committed two massacres against families in Gaza, with 30 victims and 66 injured arriving at hospitals in the past 24 hours.”
