Israel kills dozens of civilians in Gaza and medical teams refuse to evacuate Shuhada’ Al-Aqsa Hospital

Gaza (Quds News Network)- As ongoing Israeli military offensive on Gaza has marked its 325th day, the Israeli army has launched fresh attacks, declaring a new assault on Deir Al-Balah.

The Ministry of Health reported a state of panic among patients following the Israeli declaration of the area around Shuhada’ Al-Aqsa Hospital as a military operations zone. Fearing a repeat of attacks on other hospitals, several patients have fled the facility. Despite the escalating danger, hospital staff remain resolute, continuing their work and emphasizing their commitment to providing medical care. Approximately 100 patients are still being treated at the hospital, including seven in intensive care. The Ministry has urgently called for the protection of the hospital, its patients, and the healthcare workers.

The Director of Shuhada’ Al-Aqsa Hospital affirmed the hospital’s ongoing operations, stating that all medical services in the central region would continue to function. Shuhada’ Al-Aqsa Hospital is the only healthcare facility serving over a million residents of central Gaza, as well as displaced individuals from other areas.

This morning, the Israeli military bombed a school sheltering displaced persons north of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in casualties. Reports indicate that the shelling of Al-Izz bin Abdul Salam School led to the deaths of two women and injuries to others. This attack is part of a series of assaults on schools, which have caused numerous massacres among the displaced population.

Israeli forces also targeted the eastern regions of Deir Al-Balah, while artillery and drone strikes hit densely populated areas within the city. In a separate incident, the Israeli army launched air and artillery strikes on Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City.

Further south, local sources reported that bodies were recovered from the rubble in Khan Younis and Rafah. Central Khan Younis experienced artillery shelling early today, while in Rafah, Israeli forces demolished residential buildings in the western part of the city.

Meanwhile, municipalities in northern Gaza warned of the deteriorating humanitarian situation as hospitals in the region have been forced out of service due to ongoing Israeli attacks. The destruction of agricultural crops and industrial facilities has compounded the crisis. The accumulation of waste has raised concerns about the spread of diseases and epidemics, prompting urgent calls from local authorities for international and humanitarian organizations to provide immediate fuel supplies to the north.
