Israel Kills 1,000 Palestinians in Gaza in Two Weeks

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli airstrikes killed 28 Palestinians across Gaza on Monday, according to Aljazeera citing medical sources. The Health Ministry reported 1,000 deaths in the past two weeks since Israel resumed its attacks on the besieged territory.
Israeli forces intensified their attacks on Eid al-Fitr’s second day, killing and injuring dozens. The Israeli army also ordered residents in Rafah and other areas in southern Gaza to evacuate before further bombings.
Israeli shelling on Jabalia, northern Gaza, killed two people and wounded others. An Israeli airstrike in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood killed six people, including three children. In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, an airstrike hit a tent sheltering displaced families in Al-Mawasi “safe area”, killing two people and injuring more. Another strike killed two children in central Khan Younis.
Overnight bombings in Khan Younis destroyed three residential homes, killing ten people and injuring dozens.
Since Israel resumed its genocide on March 18, 1,001 people have been killed, with 80 deaths in the past 48 hours, according to the Health Ministry. This raises Gaza’s total death toll since October 7, 2023, to 50,357.
The Government Media Office confirmed that Israel has killed 1,402 medical workers and 111 civil defense personnel. Israeli forces have also kidnapped 362 healthcare workers, executing three doctors under torture in prison.
On Monday, Gaza held funerals for 14 medics from the Red Crescent and Civil Defense who were executed by Israeli forces. Their bodies were found buried in a deep pit in Rafah’s Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood. Witnesses said their hands were bound, and they were shot in the chest.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) condemned the killings, expressing “shock” over the execution of eight Red Crescent medics, five civil defense workers, and a UN staff member following an Israeli airstrike in Rafah.
On the other hand, Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, claimed responsibility for bombing an Israeli tank with an explosive device near the separation fence east of Khan Younis. Resistance fighters also fired mortar shells at Israeli positions in the area.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday to intensify military operations in Gaza. He also reiterated his support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan of ethnic cleansing.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks have killed or injured over 164,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. More than 14,000 people remain missing, presumed dead under the rubble.
