‘Israel’ killed two Palestinians and arrested 450 others last month

Ramallah (QNN)- A new statistic by Abdullah Al Hourani Centre for Studies and Documentation has documented Israel’s occupation practices against Palestinians during last October.

Statics documented the killing of two Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The martyrs were Amer Abedalrahim Snobar and Sameer Abdel Jaleel Hmaidi.

Amer, an 18-year-old Palestinian teenager from the Nablus-area village of Yatma, died of his injuries after being beaten by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Turmus-Ayya northeast of Ramallah.

Sameer, a 23-year-old former prisoner, was shot dead in his chest near Annab military checkpoint in Tulkarm.

Israeli authorities also arrested nearly 450 Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, 14 of them were arrested after trying to cross from Gaza into the occupied land. Israeli authorities also practice unlawful and cruel policies against prisoners, whose number has reached 4500, including 160 children and 41 ladies, in a blatant violation of international law.

Meanwhile, 100 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli forces in occupied Jerusalem and West Bank while peacefully protesting against Israel’s illegal and repressive practices and use of excessive force. Moreover, hundreds were suffocated due to teargas inhalation used by Israeli forces while suppressing the peaceful protests.

Also, Israeli authorities approved to build thousands of settlement units in the occupied Jerusalem and West Bank. There are two plans to be approved, 5400 settlement units and 2166 others.

More than 2929 settlement units within the plan would be in the “Betar Illit” settlement, 346 units in “Beit El” settlement, 560 in the “Gilo” settlement in occupied Jerusalem, 286 settlement units in “Har Barkha” settlement, 181 in “Einaf” settlement, 120 in “Kedem” settlement, and 952 in “Har Gilo.”

Furthermore, Israeli authorities approved the construction of 500 settlement units in the illegal Israeli settlement of “Tzur Hadassah,” which is built on land belonging to Palestinians from Wadi Fukin village.

Israeli authorities have also approved the construction of an air bridge in the Wadi al-Rababa Neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the pretext of facilitating biblical religious tourism and the arrival of settlers to the Al-Buraq Wall and the Moroccan Gate. The planned bridge is 200 meters long and 30 meters high, with a budget of NIS 800,000 shekels.

During the last month, Israeli occupation forces demolished 59 residential and non-residental structures, including 22 houses and 37 farming, businesses and public buildings. Two families were forced by Israeli authorities to self-demolish their own homes in Beit Hanina and Shu’afat in the occupied Jerusalem, or to risk hefty fines and demolition fees.

Israeli authorities also confiscated about 11,000 dunums of Palestinian land in the northern Jordan Valley region in the occupied West Bank, under the pretext of transferring the property of the said land to three natural reservoirs in the area.

These reserves are located in Deir Hajla in Jericho, the other is south of Al-Jiftlik, near the settlement of “Maswah” , and the third is east of Ain Al-Hilweh and Al-Farisiya in the northern Jordan Valley in the area between the settlements of “Maskiot and Rutem.” This proves that the reason for confiscation is expanding the built-up areas of the Israeli settlements rather than allocating more land for the natural reservoirs.
