Israel killed 8 Palestinian minors in 2020

Israeli occupation forces have killed eight Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of 2020, according to a recent statics to Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCIP).
DCIP said that Israel occupation forces “routinely violate international law by using lethal force against Palestinian children without justification.”
DCIP stressed that Israel is to continue this policy against Palestinians as long as the international community remains silent and Israel is not held accountable for its crimes.
Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program director at DCIP noted, “Like nearly every other case involving Israeli forces’ unlawful killing of Palestinian children, systemic impunity as the norm ensures that the perpetrator responsible will never be held accountable by Israeli authorities.”
In its statics, DCIP said that the last Palestinian child killed by Israeli occupation forces was 15-year-old Ali Abu Alia from the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, who was shot with live ammunition in the abdomen while observing clashes between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian youth on 4 December.
Ali is the fifth Palestinian child from the West Bank killed by Israeli forces with live ammunition this year.
Investigations and evidence collected by DCIP regularly suggest that Israeli forces use lethal force against Palestinian children in circumstances that do not appear to be warranted and may amount to extrajudicial or wilful killings.
