Israel Kidnapped 800 Palestinians in West Bank in March, Say Prisoner Groups

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)-
Israeli forces kidnapped around 800 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank in March, according to prisoner rights groups.

The joint statement by the Detainees Affairs Commission, Addameer, and the Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed that the detainees included 18 women and 84 children. Israeli troops also carried out field interrogations on hundreds more during the raids.

These arrests came as Israel intensified its genocide in Gaza and expanded its military operations in the occupied West Bank, especially in Jenin and Tulkarem. Both cities saw mass detentions, field executions, forced displacement, and large-scale destruction of homes and infrastructure.

Since Israel launched its genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, it has kidnapped over 16,400 Palestinians from the West Bank. Among them are 510 women and 1,300 children. The total does not include thousands reportedly kidnapped from Gaza.

Administrative detention is also rising sharply. Israel is currently holding 3,498 Palestinians without charge or trial, including more than 100 children.

“This level of arbitrary detention hasn’t been seen in decades—even during the peak of past uprisings,” the groups said. They stated that Israel’s military courts legitimize the crackdown through hollow legal processes.

Three Palestinian detainees died in Israeli custody during March.

Military raids continue across the northern West Bank. Since October, Israeli forces and settlers have killed over 947 Palestinians and injured nearly 7,000 across the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to official figures.
