Israel Expels Native Palestinians from 800 Dunams in Jenin

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces have ordered the eviction of Palestinian farmers from 800 dunams of land in Jenin, West Bank. Local sources say Israeli authorities distributed notices declaring the confiscation of farmland and hills in the eastern and western Al-Munshaat areas. These lands lie between the villages of Anin, Yamoun, Al-Araqah, and Al-Silah Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin.

Israeli authorities have given native Palestinians 45 days to leave. After that, they will take full control of the area.

Naif Khamaiseh, the mayor of Yamoun, confirmed to Quds News Network that Israeli forces informed Palestinian farmers in the area of the eviction orders. He described the move as an unprecedented escalation against Palestinian villages in western Jenin. Some of the land belongs to the Jordanian treasury, with Palestinian farmers holding old Jordanian deeds or official government permits.

“This is the first time such an order has been issued since the Oslo Accords,” Khamaiseh said.

In Yamoun alone, Israel has ordered the eviction of 70 dunams. New notices appeared on other lands Tuesday morning, but the full affected area remains unclear. Similar orders were issued for land in Al-Silah Al-Harithiya, Al-Araqah, and Anin.

The eviction affects all buildings and structures on the land. Most of the area consists of olive groves and farmland.

Khamaiseh said legal action is underway. Authorities are working with the Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission to help farmers prove their ownership.

He warned that Israel had already mapped the targeted lands using aerial imaging. “This is not a random move. It is part of a large Israeli settlement project in western Jenin,” he said.
