Israel Detonates Gaza’s Only Dialysis Hospital in the North, Health Officials Warn of Catastrophe
Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that Israeli forces detonated Noura Al Kaabi Kidney Dialysis Center, the only dialysis hospital in northern Gaza. The center served patients suffering from kidney failure across the region.
“This attack is a death sentence for hundreds of patients,” the ministry said in a press statement. “The destruction puts their health at risk of catastrophic and irreversible collapse.”
The health ministry reported that 41% of kidney failure patients have died since the genocide began. Most died after being denied access to dialysis due to Israel’s blockade and the destruction of medical infrastructure.
Health officials stated that Israel is following a dangerous and systematic policy aimed at emptying northern Gaza of hospitals and specialized care centers.
Since October 2023, Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted Gaza’s healthcare system. Hospitals, ambulances, maternity wards, and emergency departments have been bombed or shut down. Patients and doctors are overwhelmed, exhausted, and left without basic medical supplies.
International health organizations have condemned the attacks, warning they constitute war crimes. The World Health Organization has called for the immediate protection of Gaza’s medical infrastructure.
