‘Israel’ denies entry of German students over intention to visit Birzeit University

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Israeli authorities have blocked German students from entry into Palestine after suspecting that they will visit Birzeit University in Ramallah, reported Haaretz on Sunday.
According to the Israeli newspaper, the Israeli immigration Authority said that both German students “hid their plans to visit the Palestinian University”.
It cited Sarah Roller, a doctoral student at the University of Siegen in Germany, as saying that she had already studied at Birzeit University as an exchange student. She did not tell them that she would visit her college as she knew that they would delay her entry.
Both Sarah and the other student, who is also a doctoral student, were repatriated on Sunday.
Roller said that she was asked about her political views by the interrogators and accused of intentions to “protest for human rights”.
“the inspector told me, ‘I know why you’re here, you want to protest for human rights.’ He added that he knows I’m lying about the purpose of my visit”, Roller said.
