‘Israel’ demolishes five houses in East Jerusalem
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli authorities demolished five houses in the Sawahreh area in East Jerusalem today.
Local sources said that Israeli forces demolished five tin houses in the Sawahreh area and confiscated their contents.
The houses are owned by the families of Ali Zahaiqah, Ibrahim Hammadin, Khalil Hathalin, Hani Sarkhi, and Khalil Abdel Qader.
The Israeli authorities have been working on emptying East Jerusalem in order to expand settlements and impose its control over the whole Palestinian capital city.
East Jerusalem was occupied in 1967 then annexed later on. The United Nation deemed the annexation void and null and called on the occupation state to withdraw from the city. However, the occupation state, backed by the United States, continued to build more illegal settlements, swallowing more Palestinian land and expelling native Palestinians to replace them with colonizers.
