Israel demolishes 2 houses in Bethlehem and occupied Jerusalem

Ramallah (QNN)- Israeli authorities have demolished on Tuesday two houses in Beit Jala in Bethlehem and Shufat in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said that Israeli bulldozers and Israeli occupation forces stormed on Tuesday Beit Jala amid intensive security measures, closing the area and preventing local residents from reaching it.
Israeli bulldozers demolished a three-storey building, which belongs to lawyer Basimah Issa, under the pretext of having no building permission.
Beir Awneh, the village in which the demolished house is located, has been under a vicious attack by Israel; several houses have been demolished, leaving dozens of Palestinian families homeless.
In the same vein, Israeli bulldozers protected by large Israeli force demolished on Tuesday a two-storey residential building in Shufat neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of having no building permission.
Local sources said that large numbers of Israeli soldiers spread in the neighborhood an a helicopter was flying over the area before the bulldozers started the demolition of the building, which belongs to Hushiyyeh family.
The demolition comes as a part of the Israeli government’s trials to extend illegal settlements, swallowing Palestinian lands and houses, as the building is located close to Pisgat Ze’ev illegal settlement.
