Israel continues its genocide campaign in Gaza for 85th day, claiming dozens of innocent lives

Gaza (Quds News Network) – The relentless Israeli genocide campaign against the Gaza Strip is persisting for the 85th day in a row, resulting in dozens of casualties, both fatalities and injuries.

Local and medical sources said scores of civilians were killed, and others sustained injuries in artillery shelling by the occupying Israeli forces targeting a group of individuals on Yaffa Street east of Gaza City.

Israeli warplanes also bombed a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, causing multiple injuries.

Meanwhile, heavy artillery fire struck the areas east of Rafah border crossing, while naval vessels intensified shelling along the central and southern Gaza coasts.

The Israeli artillery continued to shell east of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless air and ground attacks for four days, forcing residents to flee towards Deir al-Balah.

Israeli tanks also fired several shells on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Simultaneously, fighter jets carried out a series of intense airstrikes on Khan Yunis city in the south, resulting in the killing of one civilian and injuring another in the bombing of the Al-Aqad family residence.

The World Health Organization has expressed grave concerns about the escalating risk of infectious diseases in Gaza due to the massive displacement of people, multiple displacements for some families, and overcrowded health facilities serving as shelters.

In a preliminary toll, the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza since October 7 has claimed over 21,600 lives, with approximately 56,000 wounded, including thousands missing, predominantly comprising children and women.

The situation remains critical as the war shows no signs of abating, leaving Gaza in a dire state of devastation and despair.
