Israel Confirms No Plans for Northern Gaza Aid Delivery as Siege Continues Amid Rising Civilian Death Toll

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israel’s Defence Ministry confirmed that it has no immediate plans to send aid to the besieged northern Gaza Strip, stating that no directives have been received from the political leadership. The revelation comes amid growing international condemnation over Israel’s ongoing military assaults and the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The statement, issued to Middle East Eye (MEE), follows reports of a proposal from a US logistics firm to establish an aid distribution hub in Beit Hanoun. Moti Kahana, head of Global Delivery Company, suggested that his “war-zone Uber” plan had received backing from military officials but has yet to gain approval from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, despite discussions in a cabinet meeting last month.

Kahana said that Netanyahu is“playing politics” and expressed uncertainty over the government’s direction, especially following the dismissal of Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and the re-election of Donald Trump as US president.

No Aid Plans Amid Intensified Siege

The Israeli Defence Ministry’s statement highlighted that, in the absence of explicit directives from the government, no preparations or procedures are underway to facilitate aid into northern Gaza. “The defence establishment continues to operate solely according to government directives and in compliance with international law,” the spokesperson stated.

This announcement comes as Gaza’s civilians face relentless bombardments, compounded by a severe blockade that has left hundreds of thousands without food, water, or medical supplies. On Sunday, at least 36 civilians, including 15 children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in northern Gaza.

Rights groups and humanitarian organizations have condemned Israel’s crimes, stressing that the military is executing a campaign of ethnic cleansing known as “the Generals’ Plan.” This plan reportedly aims to clear northern Gaza of its remaining population—estimated at 400,000 people—by either killing them or forcing them to evacuate to the southern part of the besieged enclave.

Ethnic Cleansing

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz echoed these concerns on Sunday, citing statements from Israeli commanders during a media tour of northern Gaza. One senior officer described his mission as “creating a cleansed space” and admitted diverting aid away from northern Gaza.

Despite the Israeli military’s attempts to distance itself from these statements, asserting that the comments did not reflect its values, the evidence suggests otherwise. Residents and aid workers report a dire situation, with shortages of basic necessities compounded by Israeli raids and bombardments.

On Monday, Haaretz reported that armed gangs of outlaws in southern Gaza are looting aid convoys entering the Strip through Karem Abu Salem crossing under the watch of Israeli troops stationed nearby and even supported by them.

Local security personnel working to protect aid deliveries have faced deadly attacks. Israel has systematically targeted personnel affiliated with Gaza’s Ministry of Interior, with a particular focus on police forces throughout.

Observers believe that Israel is intent on pushing forward plans aimed at creating chaos and a breakdown of security within the Gaza Strip.

Since the onset of the genocide on October 7, Israel has been targeting police forces in a deliberate effort to trigger a “security collapse” in the region.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Israeli attacks intensify whenever the police take steps to restore order and curb chaos. The Israeli military executed a plan to dismantle Gaza’s security apparatus by targeting police leaders, officers, and personnel who are responsible for maintaining public safety and protecting the home front.

Growing Fears of Famine

The independent Famine Review Committee (FRC) issued a stark warning on Friday, stating there is a “strong likelihood that famine is imminent” in northern Gaza. The committee urged parties involved in what it called a conflict to take immediate action to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

UN agencies and international humanitarian organizations have described conditions in northern Gaza as “apocalyptic,” with officials warning that the entire population is at imminent risk of dying from disease, starvation, and violence.
