‘Israel’ closes Erez checkpoint to Gaza’s workers and merchants
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – The Israeli occupation authorities on Saturday decided to shut down the Beit Hanoun (Erez) checkpoint in front of Palestinian workers and merchants coming from the Gaza Strip.
Hebrew media pointed out that the closure of the checkpoint will begin on Sunday until further notice, indicating that it would be reopen in accordance with military and security assessments.
The sources cited the closure of the checkpoint after alleged rocket attack from the besieged Gaza Strip.
Last night, the Israeli occupation army said that three rockets were fired towards settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
The rocket attack comes after Israeli forces raided al-Aqsa Mosque Compound and violently suppressed the worshipers, using tear gas canisters, rubber-coated metal bullets, batons, and sound grenades.
Dozens of worshipers were injured as a result of the Israeli raid on al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday, including children and women. One of the injuries was reported very serious.
