Israel bombards UNRWA School in Gaza murdering displaced civilians

Gaza (Quds News Network)- On Sunday, the Israeli military carried out a devastating airstrike on an UNRWA school sheltering displaced Palestinian families in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The targeted school, Abu Ariban, resulted in the tragic death of 17 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children.
Medical sources said that the attack also injured 80 people. Al-Aqsa TV quoted the director of Al-Awda Hospital, stating that over 70% of the injured were women and children. Social media footage shared by activists showed many of the injured were children.
Images circulated online depicted the funerals of several victims from the massacre, which mirrors similar atrocities that have been committed in the camp over recent months. This massacre in Nuseirat follows two horrific massacres by Israeli forces the previous day in Khan Younis and Al-Shate’ refugee camp in western Gaza, resulting in hundreds of casualties.
UNRWA spokesperson in Gaza, Inas Hamdan, told Al Jazeera that Israel destroyed over 190 UNRWA facilities during the ongoing offensive. She emphasized that UNRWA shares the coordinates of its facilities with the Israeli side daily to avoid such incidents.
“Our facilities are primarily used to provide humanitarian aid”, she added. Regrettably, there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip.”
