Israel bombards UN food storage facilities killing employees

Gaza- Israel’s military has bombarded United Nations food storage facilities north of the Al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza, killing several employees.
According to initial numbers, two UN employees have been killed and one wounded in the Israeli attack.
The attack came following a statement by UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, who criticized Israel’s repeated eviction orders.
Lazzarini stated that Israel’s latest eviction orders for displaced Palestinian families in Rafah and Khan Yunis – the largest issued since October- impacted nearly a quarter of a million people, most of them already displaced, multiple times.
“This continuous cycle of displacement, constant being on “survival mode” & despair must stop. No more delay for the long overdue #CEASEFIRE_NOW”, he added.
More than 200 UN staff have been killed in the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza so far, sparking widespread concern and calls for a permanent ceasefire in the besieged Palestinian enclave.
Last May, the United Nations’ Security Council passed a resolution denouncing attacks on UN staff and aid workers in conflict zones as record numbers of UN personnel have been killed by Israel. The resolution, however, has not stopped Israel’s targeting of international and aid workers.
