Israel bombards children football match in school in Gaza
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israel’s army on Tuesday targeted a school in Abasan in Khan Yunis, where a football match for displaced children was being held, killing 29 displaced civilians and injuring over 53 others.
The Ministry of Health said the Israeli army targeted the gate of Al-Mutanabbi school, one of Al-Awda schools in Abasan east of Khan Yunis, Gaza. The attack resulted in 29 fatalities, most of whom are children and women, and 53 injuries, including serious and critical ones.
Video footages from the school show dozens of displaced families in the courtyard of the school cheering for children playing football before an Israeli strike targeted the school. Dead bodies, many of which turned to pieces, appear scattered in the scene afterward.
The Israeli army has committed several massacres in less than a day in central Gaza Strip, resulting in 60 victims, most of whom are children and women.
The Israeli targeting comes amid the collapse of the healthcare system, the destruction and burning of hospitals, rendering them out of service, which has put immense pressure on medical teams and the remaining surgical operation rooms. This situation is exacerbated by the shortage of medical supplies and the closure of crossings, preventing the travel of the injured and sick and the entry of fuel.
