‘Israel’ blocks entry of first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine into Gaza

Ramallah (QNN)- The Minister of Health Mai Al Keileh has said that Israeli authorities blocked the entry of the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine into Gaza today.
Al Keileh said that the occupation state holds full responsibility for this measure, which she describes as arbitrary and violates all international norms and conventions.
She added that the ministry sent 2000 shots of Sputnik V vaccine to the Gaza strip but the Israelis blocked their entry.
She also noted that the shots were destined for medical workers in ICU, dedicated for COVID-19 patients, as well as, medical workers in emergency departments.
Al Keileh said that the government continues to work with international organizations to manage to provide the besieged strip with vaccines as soon as possible.
A report by Bloomberg stated that the occupation state is stocking up vaccines while depriving native Palestinians of vaccination.
International human rights organizations had called on the occupation state to hold its responsibility as an occupation power, however ‘Israel’ continues to absolve itself of its obligations.
