Israel attacks Yemen’s Hodeidah port and airport

Sana’a (Quds News Network)- Israel launched a series of attacks on Yemen, targeting key civilian infrastructure in Hodeidah, including its port and airport. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority confirmed that dozens of Israeli aircraft were involved in the attacks, which struck multiple locations in western Yemen, focusing on the port of Hodeidah and its international airport.
The attacks reportedly targeted the port’s energy station and oil storage facilities, inflicting significant damage. The Israeli army radio stated that this marks the second round of air raids on Hodeidah.
Yemeni media outlets condemned the attacks, confirming that Israeli airstrikes hit both Hodeidah’s main port and Ras Issa port, as well as electricity stations in the Al-Hali and Ras Kathib areas. They also reported that the Houthis had preemptively emptied oil tanks at the targeted ports in anticipation of the strikes.
Videos shared on social media platforms show large fires in Hodeidah, with users saying they were caused by the Israeli air attacks.
According to a report by Axios, Israeli and US officials confirmed that the Israeli Air Force coordinated the strikes with US Central Command (USCENTCOM). The United States had prior knowledge of the operation, as reported by Israel’s Broadcasting Authority.
