Israel attacks residential building in Damascus, killing three civilians

Damascus (Quds News Network)- On Wednesday evening, an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in Al-Mezzeh district of Damascus, killing three civilians and injuring four others, according to Syria’s state news agency, SANA. The attack, launched from the occupied Golan Heights, caused significant damage to nearby properties in the western part of the Syrian capital.
This strike follows a series of recent Israeli attacks across Syria. Just a day earlier, Israel launched air raids on the Tha’lah military airport in Suwayda and radar systems in Daraa province. Additionally, Tuesday’s strikes in Damascus resulted in three fatalities and several injuries, as reported by the Syrian regime.
Al-Mezzeh is considered a strategic area in Damascus, home to key Syrian security installations, as well as embassies and international organizations.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the deaths of three individuals, two of whom were non-Syrians, and four injuries.
The building struck on Wednesday lies just half a kilometer from the site of another deadly attack on Tuesday, which hit two passenger buses, killing six people, including three civilians and a journalist.
Israel has significantly intensified its military operations near the Syrian-Lebanese border crossings in recent days. These areas have become key escape routes for thousands fleeing Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon.
