‘Israel’ arrests PLC member Muhammad Abu Teir

The Israeli authorities had already expelled Abu Teir from his home town in Jerusalem to Ramallah and revoked his citizenship.

Ramallah (QNN)- The Israeli forces on Monday arrested the member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), Sheikh Muhammad Abu Teir, from Ramallah.

The head of the Committee of Jerusalemite Prisoners’ Families, Amjad Abu Asab, said that the Israeli forces on the dawn of Monday broke into the house of Abu Teir and arrested him. The Israeli authorities had expelled Abu Teir from his home town in Jerusalem to Ramallah.

In October 2010, the Israeli authorities expelled and revoked the citizenship of Abu Teir and along with two other PLC members and one former Minister for their “disloyalty for Israel”.

Abu Teir had also spent over 30 years in Israeli jails.
