‘Israel’ arrests parliamentary candidate in Bethlehem

Bethlehem (QNN)- The Israeli army on Tuesday arrested a parliamentary candidate from Hamas’ list.

Local sources said an Israeli force arrested Hasan Al Wardian, one of Hamas’ candidates for the Legislative council, after breaking into his house in Bethlehem.

Al Wardian and his sons Mahmoud and Usaid had been arrested several times by the Israeli authorities.

The spokesperson for Hamas, Fawzi Barhoum, said arresting Al ardian is blatant interference in the Palestinian elections, reflecting Israel’s efforts to foil them.

However, he stressed that the Israeli arrests will never terrorize the Palestinian people or prevent them from participating in the democratic process.
