'Israel' arrests cancer patient journalist while on his way back to Gaza
Gaza (QNN)- Israeli forces arrested the cancer patient journalist Muhammad Abu Daqqa while he was going back to Gaza from a treatment trip in Jordan.
Abu Daqqa, who had been receiving liver cancer treatment in Jordan for eight months, was arrested at Erez border crossing last night.
Palestine Prisoners Center for studies held the occupation state responsible for the life of Abu Daqqa.
The center added that the Israeli Shin Bet, which usually supervises Israeli arrests on the Erez border crossing, took Abu Daqqa for interrogation although of his critical condition.
The center said that the Israeli arrests on Erez border crossing have increased to seven cases since the start of this year.
Israeli forces had arrested a trader and a citizen while they were traveling to Jordan last January. In February, the Israelis arrested another trader, while in last March they arrested three traders.
The center stated that the occupation state is using the border crossing as a trap for Gazans to arrest and blackmail them, exploiting their humanitarian needs to force them to work as spies for the occupation state.
