Israel arrests and evicts worshipers at Al Aqsa mosque

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli police on Tuesday before midnight evicted thousands of Muslim worshipers from the Al Aqsa mosque and arrested two of them in the Bab Al Amoud area.

Local sources confirmed to QNN that Israeli officers and groups of Israeli special forces broke into the holy mosque to force worshipers to leave, however most worshipers refused and insisted on staying to perform night prayers. Israeli forces succeeded to forcefully evict young worshipers, while elderly worshipers and women still refuse to leave the mosque until this moment.

In the same context, Israeli police strengthened measures and imposed further restrictions on Muslims worshipers. Worshipers were prevented from using their phones and Israeli police checked their IDs, while a passport of a Swedish worshiper was forcefully confiscated.

Israeli police arrested two young men from Abu Rmouz family and assaulted locals at the Magharbeh gate of the Al Aqsa mosque.

Israel tries to impose a new fait accompli on the Al Aqsa mosque, in which it prevents Muslims from entering the holy mosque to perform night prayers and allows Israeli settlers to break into it.
