‘Israel’ approves plan to seize lands in Bethlehem
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The occupation state on Sunday approved a new plan to seize dozens of dunums of Bethlehem’s lands.
The head of the Committee to resist the wall and settlement in Bethlehem, Hasan Breijiyyeh, said Israeli authorities approved the confiscation of lands adjacent to the illegal settlement of Beitar Illit, which belong to the village of Housan.
Breijiyyeh noted that the Israeli plan aims at using Palestinian lands to construct public places and roads for settlers only as well as into settlement units.
The European External Action Service (EEAS) has reported that illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem have increased at a very high rate in the first half of 2020. The organization stressed that settlements are illegal under international law and constitute an obstacle to peace.
